Longmont, CO -February 4, 2004: FARSIGHT SYSTEMS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES DSECT support for "z/Debug for IBM z/OS*"
DSECT display for HLASM-only program sections. The DSECT maps that are available for display depend on the current PSW intercept address. The intercept address is compared to the active USING statements to determine which DSECT maps are currently anchored.
Point-and-click on the name to see a tabular display of the DSECT fields.
If a DSECT field is a simple A(name) or AD(name), the GUI will attempt to make that field a pointer-type so the you can point-and-click on the field to follow the pointer to the DSECT that its referencing. If that DSECT also has A(name) or AD(name) fields, then those fields are also treated as pointer-types, and so on.
z/Debug for IBM z/OS can be ordered for a 60 day free trial by filling out a trial request form. You may then download the product zip file after submitting the request form and an e-mail with the trial license keys will be sent to you.
The user's guide is also available as a separate download.
