z/Debug for IBM z/OS**

z/Debug is the first commercial software offering developed independently by Farsight Systems Corporation. z/Debug offers a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that runs on the PC workstation as a Java application, and communicates with the IBM z/OS mainframe using TCP/IP.

• z/Debug supports multiple users running the GUI on a veriety of PC workstation platforms using the Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2.
• z/Debug manages multiple debugging sessions on the IBM z/OS mainframe using a started task that minimizes intrusiveness into the debuggee address space.
• z/Debug supports debugging multi-threaded Systems/C programs running on the IBM z/OS mainframe.
• z/Debug supports source level display of the original C source statements and IBM High Level Assembler (HLASM) source statements.
• z/Debug manages CODE BREAKPOINTS at the source level by point and click, or at the machine level by specifying an address.
• z/Debug manages DATA WATCHPOINTS at the source level by point and click, or at the machine level by specifying an address.
• z/Debug supports displaying and modifying local variables, point and click expansion of C structures and following pointers.
• z/Debug supports STEP-INTO, STEP-OVER, STEP-OUT at the C source level by point and click, or by pressing a function key.
• z/Debug supports MACHINE LEVEL TRACING to the next branch instruction, or to the next store-type instruction.
